Smart technology client verification solution provider Know Your Customer has won the Fintech Startup Challenge (Dublin), hosted by Le Village, a Crédit Agricole accelerator programme.
The Fintech Startup Challenge (Dublin) was launched during the French Tech Christmas Party held in Dublin back in November 2017. Open to any Irish Fintech, Regtech or Insurtech startup less than three years old, the winning startup has the opportunity to participate in a tailor-made one-week acceleration programme hosted at Le Village by CA’s premises at 55 Rue la Boétie in Paris, as well as meeting with a selection of France’s largest corporations.
The Village has offices and services in 25 major cities around the world including New York, London, Moscow, Shanghai, Seoul, Tokyo, and Singapore and operates with the aim of contributing to the dynamism of these regions through open innovation. Le Village is supported by Crédit Agricole Regional Banks and works in partnership with local players (such as lawyers, bankers, local Chambers of Commerce etc.). As interconnected ecosystems, Le Village will ultimately design a vast national and international network in which startups and large companies can circulate and enter into a business relationship regardless of their location.
Know Your Customer (KYC) provides a digital solution which quickly and accurately identifies and verifies companies and individuals prior to client on-boarding. This comprehensive client identity verification solution helps with compliance, risk and client on-boarding functions, ensuring companies can accurately and confidently conduct their KYC and AML functions.
Keiron O’Brien, director at KYC Ireland, said of the win;
“The team at KYC are thrilled that we have been named the winner of this startup challenge. We are extremely confident in our offering, but this is a fantastic validation of the work we’re doing and an endorsement from Le Village, Crédit Agricole Regional Banks and our peers operating in the Fintech, Regtech and Insurtech fields in Dublin. We are looking forward to the one-week programme in Paris, which we are sure will be intensive and energising in equal measure”.
