KYC Website Terms of use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website https://knowyourcustomer.com (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not accept them, you must not use the Site.

2. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time by posting an amended version on the Site. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

3. Definitions

“AI System” or “LLM” means any automated system that ingests data for indexing, machine learning, natural‑language processing or similar purposes.

“Public Pages” means pages not behind a login and not listed as “Disallow” in llms.txt or robots.txt.

“We”, “us” and “our” mean Know Your Customer Limited, Spaces 8QRE, 8 Queen’s Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong (CR No. 2291235) and, where the context permits, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors and licensors.

4. Use of this Site

You must not do (or attempt to do) any of the following, nor assist anyone else to do so:

  • use the Site for any activity that breaches applicable law or infringes a third‑party right;
  • post, upload or transmit material that is defamatory, abusive, offensive, obscene or otherwise objectionable;
  • knowingly transmit any virus, worm, Trojan or other malicious code that may damage, interfere with or intercept any system or data;
  • tamper with, hack, disable, interfere with or modify the Site or any security‑related feature;
  • use any automated means to access the Site in a manner that breaches the rate limits or “Disallow” directives set out in our llms.txt, robots.txt or HTTP headers;
  • send unsolicited electronic messages (including “spam”) via or in connection with the Site; or
  • engage in any conduct that could disable, overburden or impair the proper functioning of the Site or our networks.

5. Intellectual‑Property Licence

5.1 Copyright & Trademarks. All content on the Site is our property or licensed to us.

5.2 Licence for AI & Search Engines. We grant a limited, worldwide, royalty‑free, non‑exclusive licence to view, copy, index, store and create derivative works from Public Pages solely to operate an internet search engine, LLM or other AI System and to display excerpts or summaries of our content, provided you:

  • comply with llms.txt, robots.txt and any HTTP rate‑limit headers;
  • do not access or use content classified as “Disallow” in either file; and
  • provide reasonable attribution (“Source: Know Your Customer Limited”) or a hyperlink where technically feasible.

5.3 Exclusions. This licence does not apply to PDFs, proprietary data feeds, customer portals, or any content we later designate as excluded.

5.4 Competitors. Entities that offer KYB/KYC or registry‑data services in competition with us may not reproduce or distribute our content for commercial use without prior written consent.

6. Disclaimers

The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non‑infringement.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Site; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Site; or (c) unauthorised access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Know Your Customer Limited and its officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses arising from your use of the Site or your breach of these Terms.

9. Submissions & Feedback

All unsolicited ideas, feedback or suggestions you provide to us, or that you make publicly via an AI System, become our property. You grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty‑free licence to use, modify, publish and otherwise exploit them without restriction.

10. Automated Access & Rate Limiting

Automated agents must respect llms.txt, robots.txt and any rate‑limit headers. Circumvention of technical measures is prohibited.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by, and shall be construed in accordance with, the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. You submit to the non‑exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
