In October 2020, we were invited to give a presentation on the topic of the “Future of KYC” as part of PayPal’s Speaker Series.
The talk, streamed live to 100+ team members in Singapore, was then made available to all PayPal’s staff around the globe.
During the session – available to watch on-demand below – Know Your Customer’s CEO & co-founder Claus Christensen retraced the key steps in the evolution of KYC and client onboarding, from its origins – the Financial Action Task Force (FATF)’s recommendation no. 10 on client due diligence – to its future – represented by new Digital Identity and KYC Utility initiatives being introduced across various jurisdictions globally.
Questions from attendees focused on the problems that RegTech solutions such as Know Your Customer are trying to solve as well as the merits and limits of existing digital identity schemes around the world.
